वैभव सूर्यवंशी बिहार के समस्तीपुर जिले के निवासी हैं और घरेलू क्रिकेट में बिहार के लिए खेलते हैं। उन्होंने इस साल रणजी ट्रॉफी में मुंबई के खिलाफ अपना फर्स्ट-क्लास डेब्यू किया था। पहले पांच फर्स्ट-क्लास मैचों में उन्होंने 100 रन बनाए और एक विकेट भी लिया। इसके अलावा, 2024 की सय्यद मुश्ताक अली ट्रॉफी में राजस्थान के खिलाफ मैच में उन्होंने अपना टी20 डेब्यू किया, हालांकि पहले मैच में वह सिर्फ 13 रन बना सके।

This accusation of age fraud has quickly spread across the internet, raising doubts about his eligibility.
In response to these claims, Vaibhav’s father, Sanjeev Suryavanshi, strongly defended his son. He pointed out that when Vaibhav was just 8 and a half years old, he had undergone a bone test by the BCCI, which is used to confirm a player’s age. Sanjeev emphasized that Vaibhav had already represented India’s Under-19 team, making the accusations baseless. He assured that Vaibhav is prepared to undergo further tests if required. Vaibhav, originally from the Samastipur district in Bihar, made his first-class debut earlier this year in the Ranji Trophy against Mumbai. In his first five matches, he scored 100 runs and took one wicket. He also debuted in T20 cricket during the 2024 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, though his performance was modest, with just 13 runs in his first match.
Despite the controversy, Vaibhav’s father emphasized that his son is focused solely on his cricket career and prefers to stay out of the limelight.
