इंडियन एक्सप्रेस के अनुसार, डीएसपी बनने के बाद मोहम्मद सिराज का वेतन ₹58,850 से ₹1,37,500 तक हो सकता है, जो उनके पे-ग्रेड पर निर्भर करता है। इसके अलावा, सिराज को चिकित्सा, यात्रा और हाउस रेंट के लिए अलग से भत्ते भी मिलेंगे। हालांकि, डीएसपी पद के लिए स्नातक डिग्री होना आवश्यक है, लेकिन सिराज ने केवल 12वीं कक्षा तक पढ़ाई की है। इस मामले में तेलंगाना सरकार ने सिराज को छूट देने का निर्णय लिया था।

Mohammed Siraj’s Appointment as DSP and His Salary
Indian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj joined the Telangana Police force this year and is currently serving as a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP). His appointment was officially announced in July 2024, and he joined the force in October. After India’s victory in the T20 World Cup, the Telangana government had promised Siraj a government job along with a 600-square-yard plot of land. However, the details of his salary as a DSP remained unclear until now.

According to Indian Express, Siraj’s salary as a DSP ranges from ₹58,850 to ₹1,37,500 per month, depending on his pay grade. In addition to his base salary, Siraj is entitled to allowances for medical expenses, travel, and house rent. Despite not having a graduate degree, which is typically required for the DSP position, Siraj was granted an exemption by the Telangana government due to his exceptional sporting achievements.
Earnings from BCCI and IPL
Mohammed Siraj is also a part of the BCCI’s Central Contract list for 2024, where he has been placed in Grade A. Players in this category earn an annual salary of ₹5 crore. Additionally, during the 2025 IPL mega auction, Siraj was bought by Gujarat Titans for ₹12.25 crore. Apart from these sources, Siraj also earns substantial amounts through endorsements.

Before Siraj, former cricketer Joginder Sharma served as a DSP, and Indian women’s cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur held a DSP position in Punjab. After the impressive performances of the Indian women’s cricket team at the 2022 Commonwealth Games and 2023 Asian Games, Deepti Sharma was appointed as a DSP in the UP Police.
As of now, Siraj is in Australia with the Indian team, leading them 1-0 in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
