PM Modi सोमवार (18 नवंबर 2024) को अपनी तीन-राष्ट्रीय यात्रा के दूसरे चरण में ब्राजील पहुंचे, जहां वे G20 शिखर सम्मेलन में भाग लेंगे।

नाइजीरिया की अपनी “उत्पादक” यात्रा पूरी करने के बाद, जहां प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने राष्ट्रपति बोला अहमद टिनुबू से द्विपक्षीय वार्ता की और भारतीय समुदाय से बातचीत की, वे सोमवार (18 नवंबर 2024) को अपनी तीन-राष्ट्र यात्रा के दूसरे चरण में ब्राजील पहुंचे। विदेश मंत्रालय (MEA) ने उनके ब्राजील आगमन की जानकारी X पर दी, जिसमें लिखा था, “प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ब्राजील के जीवंत शहर रियो डी जनेरियो पहुंचे, जहां वे G20 ब्राजील शिखर सम्मेलन में भाग लेंगे,” और साथ ही मोदी के एयरपोर्ट पर स्वागत की तस्वीरें भी साझा की गईं।

अपने आधिकारिक X हैंडल पर पोस्ट करते हुए प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने लिखा, “रियो डी जनेरियो, ब्राजील में G20 शिखर सम्मेलन में भाग लेने के लिए पहुंचा। मैं सम्मेलन की चर्चा और विभिन्न विश्व नेताओं से सार्थक वार्ता का इंतजार कर रहा हूं।” मोदी 19वें G20 शिखर सम्मेलन में ट्रॉयका के सदस्य के रूप में भाग लेंगे, जिसमें ब्राजील और दक्षिण अफ्रीका भी शामिल हैं। रियो डी जनेरियो शिखर सम्मेलन में चीनी राष्ट्रपति शी जिनपिंग और अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति जो बाइडन समेत अन्य विश्व नेता भी उपस्थित होंगे।

इसके बाद, प्रधानमंत्री मोदी 19 से 21 नवंबर तक गुयाना का दौरा करेंगे, जहां वे राष्ट्रपति मोहमद इर्फान अली के निमंत्रण पर गुयाना जाएंगे। यह 50 वर्षों में किसी भारतीय प्रधानमंत्री का पहला दौरा होगा। 16 नवंबर को अपने प्रस्थान वक्तव्य में मोदी ने कहा, “इस साल ब्राजील ने भारत की धरोहर को आगे बढ़ाया है। मैं ‘One Earth, One Family, One Future’ के हमारे दृष्टिकोण के अनुरूप सार्थक चर्चाओं का इंतजार कर रहा हूं।” उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि वे इस अवसर का उपयोग विभिन्न वैश्विक नेताओं के साथ द्विपक्षीय सहयोग को और बढ़ाने के लिए करेंगे। भारत की G20 अध्यक्षता के दौरान पिछले वर्ष अफ्रीकी संघ को स्थायी सदस्य के रूप में शामिल करना और यूक्रेन संघर्ष पर गहरे मतभेदों के बावजूद नेताओं की घोषणा जारी करना, भारत के लिए महत्वपूर्ण मील के पत्थर माने गए थे।

After concluding a “productive” visit to Nigeria, where he held bilateral talks with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and engaged with the Indian community, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Brazil on Monday (November 18, 2024) for the second leg of his three-nation tour. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced his arrival on X, sharing a post that read, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi lands in the vibrant city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to attend the G20 Brazil Summit,” along with images of his airport welcome.

In a post on his official X handle, Mr. Modi expressed, “Landed in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to take part in the G20 Summit. I look forward to the summit deliberations and fruitful talks with various world leaders.” Modi will participate in the 19th G20 Summit as part of the Troika, alongside Brazil and South Africa. He will be joined by Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Joe Biden, among other world leaders, at the summit in Rio de Janeiro on November 18-19.

Following the G20 Summit, Mr. Modi will travel to Guyana from November 19 to 21 at the invitation of President Mohamed Irfaan Ali, marking the first visit by an Indian prime minister to Guyana in over 50 years. In his departure statement on November 16, Modi highlighted Brazil’s continued efforts to build on India’s G20 legacy, expressing his anticipation for “meaningful discussions” and engagement on the vision of “One Earth, One Family, One Future.” He also emphasized using the visit to strengthen bilateral ties with various global leaders. Key achievements of India’s G20 presidency last year, such as the inclusion of the 55-nation African Union as a permanent member and the leaders’ declaration despite deep divisions over the Ukraine conflict, were also highlighted.
