SBI Rolls Out Nationwide Campaign to Revive Dormant Accounts

भारतीय स्टेट बैंक (SBI) ने शनिवार को निष्क्रिय खातों के सक्रियकरण के महत्व के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए एक देशव्यापी अभियान शुरू करने की घोषणा की। एक बचत या चालू खाता तब निष्क्रिय माना जाता है जब ग्राहक के खाते में दो साल से अधिक समय तक कोई लेन-देन नहीं होता है।

इन खातों को पुनः सक्रिय करने के लिए Re-KYC प्रक्रिया आवश्यक होती है। SBI ने नियमित लेन-देन की अहमियत पर जोर दिया, ताकि खातों को निष्क्रिय श्रेणी में न डाला जाए।

SBI के अध्यक्ष सी. एस. सेट्टी ने Re-KYC प्रक्रिया को पूरी तरह से लागू करने और पीएमजेडीवाई खातों को सक्रिय बनाए रखने की आवश्यकता पर बल दिया, ताकि ग्राहकों को बिना किसी परेशानी के लेन-देन की सुविधा मिल सके। उन्होंने बिजनेस कॉरेस्पोंडेंट्स से अपील की कि वे तकनीक का इस्तेमाल करें ताकि वे दूरदराज के ग्राहकों तक पहुंच सकें और उनकी बैंकिंग अनुभव को बेहतर बना सकें।

SBI Launches Nationwide Drive to Promote Activation of Inoperative Accounts

State Bank of India (SBI) announced on Saturday the launch of a nationwide initiative aimed at raising awareness about the importance of activating inoperative accounts. A savings or current account is classified as inoperative if there have been no transactions for over two years.

To reactivate these accounts, customers need to undergo the Re-KYC process. SBI emphasized the importance of regular transactions to prevent accounts from being categorized as inactive.

SBI Chairman C. S. Setty highlighted the significance of conducting the Re-KYC process thoroughly and keeping PMJDY accounts active for seamless transactions. He also urged Business Correspondents to leverage technology to bridge gaps and improve service delivery to remote customers, thereby enhancing their overall banking experience.
