निकिता ने पुलिस के सामने कहा कि उनके परिवार को इस केस में बेवजह फंसाया जा रहा है। उसने यह भी बताया कि कभी भी उसने अतुल से किसी पैसे की मांग नहीं की थी, बल्कि अतुल के परिवार ने ही दहेज के रूप में 10 लाख रुपये की मांग की थी।

अतुल की अय्याशी और दहेज की मांग
निकिता ने यह भी आरोप लगाया कि अतुल बहुत अय्याश था और उसका एक्स्ट्रा मैरिटल अफेयर था। वह तीन-तीन लड़कियों के साथ रिश्ते में था। इसके अलावा, निकिता ने यह भी बताया कि जब वह अपनी मां से पैसे मांगती थी, तो अतुल उन पैसों को भी उससे छीन लिया करता था। उसने यह भी खुलासा किया कि अतुल के परिवार ने उसके पिता से 10 लाख रुपये दहेज की मांग की थी, जबकि उनके परिवार ने पहले ही शादी में 50 लाख रुपये खर्च किए थे और 5 लाख रुपये दहेज दिए थे। जब निकिता के पिता ने अतिरिक्त पैसे देने से मना किया, तो अतुल के परिवार ने तलाक की धमकी दी, जो अंततः उनके पिता के लिए तनावपूर्ण साबित हुआ और उनकी मौत हो गई।
निकिता के परिवार का बयान
